We are looking for an Associate Systems Engineer to install and configure hardware, software and monitor the performance of our systems, ensure the security and efficiency of the entire infrastructure.
Resourcefulness and self-governance are necessary skills in this role. You should be able to diagnose and resolve problems quickly. You will have to work at the same time on daily maintenance tasks and on long term projects involving research and development.
Your goal will be to ensure that our technology infrastructure runs smoothly taking advantage of the latest and greatest technologies to improve its efficiency
REQUIREMENTS:
- Install, setup and collaborate in the configuration of physical network appliances
- Order, install and configure workstations
- Create accounts, manage licenses and permissions for multiple software and systems.
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on computers, servers and network appliances.
- Manage fleet of devices using asset management tools.
- Maintain Active Directory domains and Azure AD domains – configuring servers, users accounts, groups, and permissions
- Deploy best practices regarding systems and network monitoring, change control, service level agreements, and assist in the improvement of the company’s infrastructure policies and standards.
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve hardware, software, or other network and system problems
- Collaborate with team on future direction and opportunities for new technology
- Maintain and expand the documentation of systems policies and various procedures
- Collaborate closely with Vietnam IT team and global infrastructure lead to ensure the
security, availability, and performance of our infrastructure. - Participate in vendor negotiations, technical security reviews and relationship management
- Plan and perform hardware/software upgrades
- Perform onboarding/offboarding for users in local office and from time to time, remote offices
- Manage and oversee the administration of Microsoft Intune and Jamf for company devices, ensuring optimal device performance, security compliance, and user support
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 3+ years of experience supporting Microsoft infrastructures and technologies
- Experience managing and configuring physical network appliances and devices
- Demonstrated good skills managing Active Directory domains
- Good network fundamentals.
- Customers/users front-facing experience a must
- Excellent server operating systems and hardware equipment knowledge
- Demonstrated ability to manage and prioritize multiple problems and issues with minimal supervision
- Experience working with cloud and hybrid infrastructures
- Ability to speak Cantonese to be able to technically interface with the vendors, technicians and others
- Strong English communication skills (written and spoken), as well as Ca
- Degree in CS/Engineering preferred but not required.
