RESPONSIBILITIES

playSTUDIOS is seeking a Lead SDK Engineer to lead a development team focused on creating and improving the Android SDK, iOS SDK, WebGL, and Unity SDK.

The Lead SDK Engineer will work directly with partners for integration, business stakeholders to define features, project managers to scope and schedule deliverables, and QA Testers to achieve high-quality products.

The Lead SDK Engineer will report to the Technical Director with duties including:

  • Development of mobile game client using Unity.
  • Provide high-level design and guidance for multi-platform SDKs (Android, iOS, WebGL, and Unity).
  • Help to develop a robust testing platform to assure SDK stability and ease of integration.
  • Lead a team of Engineers to produce SDKs that align with the goals of the product team and the company at large.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members to ensure growth.
  • Develop tooling and processes to benefit our growing team.
  • Prepare release notes and changelog for the partners.
  • Ensure stability, security, performance, and architectural cleanliness of our systems.
  • Make sure new SDK versions are deployed successfully and tested thoroughly before announcing it to the partners.
  • Stay up to date with the latest mobile development trends to ensure that the latest mobile devices are supported.
  • Deploy high-quality software products to our Azure cloud infrastructure.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    • 5+ years of hands-on Android development using Kotlin, iOS development using Swift experience and Unity Development with a focus on device-level functionality.
    • Experience leading a development team.
    • Experience in SDK architecture, development, and Integration.
    • Have a working knowledge of remote APIs, concurrency, layouts, transitions, animations, client-side persistence, and architectural patterns on mobile apps.
    • Closely collaborate with partners, product managers and designers to help refine (and even define) products and experiences.
    • Comfortable with working with partners to resolve SDK integration challenges.
    • Excellent communicator who enjoys working closely with others to grow a strong self-sufficient development team.
    • Familiar and comfortable with Agile methodologies.
    • Love learning new technologies, practices, and designs.
    • Strong troubleshooting, debugging, profiling, and analytic skills.
    • Experience writing and maintaining automated unit tests.
    • Good command of English - written and spoken.
