CONTEXT:
PLAYSTUDIOS
was founded in 2011 and embarked on the development of casual, free-to-play games for social platforms. The company secured strategic investments from Activision Blizzard and MGM Resorts International, establishing relationships with two dominant players in industries related to the company's line of business. The company opened studios in Las Vegas, Nevada; Burlingame, California; and Austin, Texas; then grew to build studios in Tel Aviv and Hong Kong.

In February 2021, PLAYSTUDIOS announced plans to become a public company, through a merger agreement with Acies Acquisition Corp (Nasdaq: ACAC), a publicly-traded special purpose acquisition company. The company is now listed on the Nasdaq exchange as PLAYSTUDIOS trading under the ticker symbol MYPS.

PLAYSTUDIOS Asia is a Hong Kong subsidiary of the United States based leading mobile & social games company PLAYSTUDIOS. We build and operate an app within the PLAYSTUDIOS family that reaches millions of players every month. We are building a best-of-breed development and operations group and are looking for top tier talent who can help us create and optimize high quality games in the rapidly evolving social and mobile gaming markets. We are currently looking for a talented Product Manager to join our team.

ROLE:
What's a Product Manager? At PLAYSTUDIOS, it's the secret sauce combo of a designer, a psychologist and an entrepreneur. You craft your roadmap based on your vision and you take ownership of the success of its initiatives and features. You'll need to be agile to react to real-time data for immediate validation, feedback, or as a signal to move on. If you like rubbing shoulders with deep thinking data scientists, inspired artists, and a world-class marketing and operations team, great!

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsibilities? You have many! You'll own the performance, strategy, and roadmap for one or more key product/business areas, study the competitive landscape within a social casino and in adjacent genres, including casual and mid-core, and be responsible for the full product/game lifecycle, from writing specifications to working with multi-disciplinary teams: design, art, and engineering.

You will drive the product requirements that define the roadmap, coming up with well-defined specifications, including wireframes that can be used by the team to build a world class user experience. You will also ensure product acceptance criteria are met in this process.

Product and business performance will be driven forward by you through owning and analyzing game metrics: retention, monetization, engagement. Direct analysis and collaborative analysis with the data team will help you develop insights from game and player data and action against these insights to improve product performance.

You should understand our players deeply by engaging with customer support, player community, social media, and forums - ensuring that your work is responsive to their needs and desires. And it will be down to you to optimize the features and events under your remit and to utilize sound product judgment, articulate product strategy, and present clear measurable objectives that drive towards our business goals.

Last but by no means least, you will play a pivotal role in defining the overall product vision, strategy, and business model.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • 3 or more years of experience in product management / analytics in a product company
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent 3+ years of experience in Product Management, Consulting, Business Analysis, Behavioral Psychology
  • Have used technology to solve business problems.
  • Knowledge in developing elegant and simple feature functionalities with superior user experience.
  • Deep experience in monetization is a very strong plus.
  • Strong data-driven analytical skills and be able to operate and thrive with partial information and ambiguity and have a track record of coaching and mentoring juniors in the team.
  • Strong passion for games and creating fun, compelling and addictive user experiences.
  • A deep understanding of consumer behavior which will support product delivery from concept to implementation.
  • Previous start-up, gaming, consumer internet, e-commerce experience is a strong plus.
  • Ability to communicate clearly across multiple levels
